Students are responsible for knowing the following:

Police and other law enforcement officers may enter the campus at any time for purposes of surveillance, investigation or apprehension. College officials may not prohibit law enforcement officers from entering the campus. This includes any College building or residence hall when such entry is deemed necessary in connection with their duties.

Basic to the relationship with the police department is the understanding that the College will maintain its own campus order and that violators of the law will be appropriately dealt with through the College’s disciplinary procedures. The administration will rely on its internal resources to deal with campus problems. Provided the College is successful in its efforts, civil authorities will permit the College to manage its own affairs. To the extent these methods may be inadequate outside assistance will be requested.
