Creating Connections on the Quad
Some of the results of our investment in the Hameetman Career Center recently were on public display in the Academic Quad: crowds of students talking to more than 60 potential employers in the Quad as part of Oxy’s inaugural career fair. True to our commitment to provide a four-year career discernment program, first-years could explore internship options while graduating seniors could pursue possible first jobs and practice their self-presentation skills that they had the opportunity to hone at workshops in the weeks leading up to the event. You could tell students were taking it seriously: the professional wardrobes on display were most impressive.
