Health is achieved when we are all able to live, work and play in communities with clean air, affordable housing, good jobs, quality education, good food, safe places to play, access to preventive services, as well as linguistically and culturally appropriate health and health care services.
UEPI defines health broadly beyond the absence of illness and injury, and beyond each individual’s well-being. Our programs collaborate with community partners locally, regionally and nationally to work towards achieving optimal health for all by reducing disparities, especially in under-served and under-resourced communities.
