About He Chengzhou
Dr. He (PhD, Oslo, Norway) is the Changjian Distinguished Professor and Dean of the School of Arts at Nanjing University, China, and a foreign member of the Academy of Europe. He also served as the Chinese Director of the Hopkins-Nanjing Center for Chinese and American Studies. Specializing in drama/theater studies, comparative literature and gender studies, Prof. He has published extensively in these fields, including Henrik Ibsen and Modern Chinese Drama (Oslo), The Scandinavian Canonical Writers: Ibsen, Strindberg and Hamsun (Beijing), Ibsen and Modern China, ed. (Turin), and Representation of the Other: Theory and Practice, ed. (Goettingen) as well as numerous articles and book chapters in Chinese or English.
