Acting as the ASOC's judicial branch, Honor Board is comprised of ten student jurors elected by the student body. Honor Board voices student perspectives in cases concerning alleged violations of the Student Code of Conduct, the College's Academic Ethics policy, or the Honor Principle. Martha "M.D." Matlock
Assistant Director of Student Conduct & Restorative Practices
Martha "M.D." started at Oxy in her role in Fall 2021, and is a native of Stamps, Arkansas, home of the late Maya Angelou. As a first-generation college student, non-traditional college student, and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. she knows the importance of mentorship, involvement, and connection to academic success. M.D. earned her masters in College Student Personnel Services and Administration from the University of Central Arkansas, and is currently pursuing her doctorate in Organizational Leadership at Grand Canyon University. Professionally she has served in various roles in residential life and student conduct at the University of Georgia, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and the University of Michigan-Flint. M.D. also shares a passion in restorative practices and finding educational solutions to repair harm within communities.
