Soo Mee Kim is a sociologist whose teaching and research experience spans across urban sociology, race and ethnicity, Asian American studies, culture, immigration, and qualitative methods.
Recently, she digitally curated Reading Sa-I-Gu (2022) for UCLA's Asian American Studies Center and is a co-editor of its sister book project Sa-I-Gu: Korean and Asian American Journalists Writing Truth to Power (2023). She is also a co-editor for Koreatowns: Exploring the Economics, Politics, and Identities of Korean Spatial Formation (2020).
