Review Non-Human Subjects Policy

Occidental College is committed to the humane care and use of nonhuman animals in research and teaching and complies with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, composed of faculty and community members and a veterinarian, reviews research and teaching involving vertebrate animals. The Committee considers protocols and conducts routine inspections of animal facilities to assure that the animals are handled properly and humanely.
