In recognition of the service provided by full-time administrators and full-time staff during the COVID-19 pandemic and to encourage employee wellness during the College’s return to in-person campus activities, during Fiscal Year 2022 the College will be providing five additional days where employees will be paid for time not worked.
Full-time administrators and full-time staff will receive December 20, 21, and 22, 2021 as days off with pay ("Release Days"). On the Release Days, staff and administrators will receive their normal base rate of compensation. Release Day hours will not count toward overtime or double-time pay. If an employee is required to work due to operational reasons on a Release Day, they will be offered another date to be taken, with pay, in lieu of the initial Release Day.
Full-time administrators and full-time staff will receive two additional working days that may be taken as days off with pay ( "Wellness Days"). The Wellness Days must be scheduled to occur within two weeks of:
1. The employee’s birthday
2. The employee’s work anniversary date
3. January 3 – 14, 2022
4. Valentine’s Day (February 14)
5. Founders Day (April 20).
Employees must notify their supervisor at least ten (10) days in advance of taking any Wellness Days. Full-time administrators and full-time staff will receive their normal base rate of compensation on the Wellness Days. Wellness Day hours will not count toward overtime or double time pay. Wellness Days must be used during the days detailed above. Individual wellness days may be taken in different periods allowed (not to exceed two) or the two allowable days may be taken during the same period. Wellness Days do not accrue, carry over, and are not payable upon an employee's termination of employment.
