Established at Occidental College in 2025, the Occidental Finance Club (OFC) equips students with the tools, knowledge, and network to pursue careers in finance.
Through education, collaboration, and professional development, we strive to prepare members for internships and full-time roles across investment banking, asset management, private equity, wealth management, and related fields.
Our members bring diverse academic and professional perspectives, creating a collaborative environment where students can explore financial markets, develop practical skills, and engage with industry professionals. Whether a student is new to finance or preparing for competitive recruiting, OFC offers resources and guidance to support every step of the journey.

What We Do
We aim to bridge the gap between the classroom and the professional world and, more specifically, between a liberal arts education and the finance industry. By connecting students with alumni and industry professionals, we provide insights into career paths while developing financial literacy, technical skills, and career readiness. Our mission is to ensure that students from all backgrounds can confidently pursue opportunities in competitive areas of finance.
Our Process
We understand that every student’s career goals are different. OFC provides a range of opportunities from introductory workshops to advanced recruiting prep to meet members where they are and help them grow. We also work closely with alumni and industry professionals to bring real-world insights and connections to our members.
Our Timeline
OFC programming runs throughout the academic year, with events and workshops organized each semester. Students can participate in skill-building sessions, alumni panels, and networking opportunities, with recruiting prep intensifying during the fall and spring recruiting cycles.
