Philosophy Statement

The Occidental Library Information Literacy Program is committed to empowering Oxy students, faculty, and staff to engage critically with information and challenging them to consider their role as information consumers and creators.  We provide education to help them effectively locate, interrogate, apply, and ethically use information in their academic, professional, and personal lives to further the advancement of knowledge for our global community.
