Please submit technology procurement requests by creating a ticket using our service portal. We'll get a quote for you and send it back for your approval before placing the order. If you're not sure exactly what you need we'll be happy to talk through the options for you to figure out what would best meet your needs.
Computers and Tablets
All computers and tablets should be procured centrally though ITS. We are able to connect Apple and Dell products to our network environment for printing, shared drive, antivirus protection, and Microsoft Office access.
If you are a new regular employee, a new full time faculty member, or if you have received notice that your computer is eligible for replacement (generally every 4-5 years as needed), ITS will cover the standard or the equivalent cost of your device. Standard devices include Dell Laptops and Desktops and Mac Laptops and Minis.

Requesting departments are responsible for upgrades beyond the standard specifications (e.g., higher models, additional storage, peripherals, etc.).
Software

If you are interested in purchasing software subscriptions for yourself or a software platform for your department, please create a ticket or email helpdesk@oxy.edu so we can provide guidance on business office rules or contractual agreements as required.
Printers
Ricoh MFDs (print, copy, scan) are the standard for office printing. The Business Office oversees the leasing, moving, addition/subtraction of these devices. If you are not able to arrange access to Ricoh device or have other printing needs, please use this service request.
Peripherals
Standard desktops come with a monitor, mouse and keyboard. Standard laptops do not come with an external monitor, keyboard or mouse. Full time Individuals with access to departmental funds may purchase a docking station or hub monitor and related peripherals (e.g, webcams, Apple keyboards/mice, spare power adapters).
You may also be able to purchase keyboards, mice and hard drives via your departmental Staples Business Advantage account.
ITS supplies the following standard items at no charge upon request:
- Dell corded keyboard
- Dell corded mouse
- HDMI cables (6ft)
- Ethernet cables
- 1 HDMI to USB-C adapter
Please note that the Business Office does not allow for purchase of equipment that cannot be returned to the College upon departure. Therefore ITS does not purchase ear buds, Apple Watches, AirTags, etc.
