Please send the following information to the Technology Support Desk when an extension needs to be moved or added:
- Contact Person
- Department
- Account to charge
- Date needed
- For each extension that needs to be moved or added:
- Extension
- Name of person using the extension
- Existing Location/room number (n/a when adding an extension)
- New Location/room number
- For Multi-line phones, which additional extensions need to be connected to the phone?

How do I forward my phone to another number?
I dialed x4000 and entered my security code but I can't access Voicemail, what do I do?

My messages play from newest to oldest; can I reverse that and play the oldest messages first?

How do I forward my phone to another number?
For single-line phones:
- To SET:
- Lift handset
- Dial *3 and wait for special dial tone (fast busy)
- Dial number to forward to exactly as you would dial it, such as 9-1-323-123-4567
- Wait for service set tone (high-pitched tone) and hang up
- To CANCEL:
- Lift handset
- Dial #3
- Wait for service set tone (high-pitched tone) and hang up
For multi-line phones, you can do the same or:
- TO SET:
- Press SPEAKER and press the FDA soft key.
- Dial number to forward to exactly as you would dial it, such as 9-1-323-123-4567
- After a pause the LCD will show SET.
- Press SPEAKER to go back on hook.
- The FDA soft key will show a * to indicate it is active.
- TO CANCEL:
- Press SPEAKER and press the FDA soft key.
- Dial * to cancel. (CANCEL will display in LCD.)
- Press SPEAKER to go back on hook.
I dialed x4000 and entered my security code but I can't access Voicemail, what do I do?
In order to access your new voicemail box you'll first need to complete the system setup:
- Call x4000 or dial 323-341-4000 from off-campus
- Enter 0000 as the default security code
- Set up your new security code
- Next record your name (First and Last name)
- Lastly you'll be asked to set up your new voicemail greeting

How do I change the greeting for another mailbox I manage?
- Dial x4000
- Press **
- Dial the extension for the voicemail box you need to access
- Enter the security code; if this is the first-time setup use 0000 as the security code and continue through the setup as above.
- Otherwise, Press 3 for Phone Manager Options
- Press 4 to record a new standard greeting
- Press any key to stop recording
- Press 5 to save message

How do I listen to messages for a different voicemail box I manage?
- Dial x4000,
- Press **
- Dial the extension for the voicemail box you need to access
- Enter the security code
My messages play from newest to oldest; can I reverse that and hear the oldest messages first?
Yes, this setting can be changed through your Voicemail Phone Manager options:
- Dial x4000 or 323-341-4000
- Enter your security code
- Press 3 to access the Phone Manager options
- Press 2 for Messaging options
- Press 5 to change the message presentation options
- Press 1 to order your messages on a First-in, First-Out basis
My center cursor key has a "VM" shortcut but it doesn't dial my voicemail - how do I fix it?
That shortcut option can be set up in the same way as your other speed dial keys:
- Press Feature
- Press the center cursor key
- Dial 4000
- Press Feature
- "Speed Set" will appear on the top LCD screen
