- College Vaccination Requirement
-
As shared in President Elam’s message to the community on May 25, vaccinations will be required for all students. In addition, Sara Semal, from Emmons Wellness Center sent a follow up message to all students about the process for submitting your vaccination information, which will be due on June 15, 2021. The vaccination requirement will allow for medical and religious exemptions. Please note, however, that a student’s inability or failure to be vaccinated may impact their ability to receive on-campus housing.
- Junior Housing Eligibility
- On-Campus housing will be provided to all Juniors who did NOT complete the 3rd Year Live-Off Application. Students who are studying abroad in the fall are not eligible for on-campus housing at this time.
- Senior Housing Eligibility

- What’s New in Housing for 2021-22
-
1. Themed Living Communities (TLCs): REHS is excited to re-launch our TLCs for next year. Themed Living Communities (TLCs) create affinity spaces for students with shared identities or shared interests, and provide opportunities to learn and build community through intentional programming that centers the TLC theme.
Our new TLC for the upcoming year will be the Black Soul Collective (BSC) housed in Berkus Hall: a community for celebrating the African and African American diaspora. The TLC Upper Division Guide contains a full list of our TLCs throughout campus and their designated locations. TLC availability ranges from 7 to 30 bed spaces, depending on the community. Priority will be given to students who are required to live on campus (sophomores and juniors). We will reserve a small number of spaces for seniors in each community. It is possible that every senior who applies may not be placed in the community they apply for.
The TLC application will go live on June 1, and will be due by Friday, June 25. If you complete the TLC application, you do not need to complete the standard housing application. Returning students who are selected for TLCs will not participate in the general room draw process.
2. All-Inclusive Laundry: REHS has heard from our students about the challenges experienced with our laundry services, specifically that costs can be prohibitive. Based on this feedback, REHS is excited to announce that laundry services are now included in the cost of your room! This fall, new washing and drying machines will be provided in all of our residential spaces for students to utilize with no additional cost to use. Students will also be able to utilize an app to monitor their own laundry as well as locate available machines in their assigned residence hall. More information about laundry services will be shared in August.
3. New Outdoor Furniture: REHS, in partnership with Facilities Management, will be providing new outdoor furniture outside most residence halls, in order to allow students more opportunities to study and relax outside.
- Housing Application & Room Draw (last updated on 7/7)
-
The Fall 2021 Housing Application will be made available in eRezLife starting on Tuesday, June 1. All returning students will need to complete their housing application and agree to the terms and conditions of the 2021-2022 Housing License Agreement. Once your application is complete, students will be eligible to participate in Room Draw. The Returning Student Housing Application will be due on Friday, June 25. Any students who miss the deadline will be added to our housing waitlist for Fall, so please remember to complete the process.
Juniors and Seniors who completed the housing application received an email from REHS on July 7 with room draw information, including new room draw dates:
Senior Room Draw: Tuesday, July 27
Junior Room Draw: Wednesday, July 28
REHS created the What to Expect for Room Draw guide to assist students with preparing for Room Draw. More detailed information about room draw, including room selection times, will be emailed to students by July 20.
- Disability Housing Accommodations
-
If you are in need of housing accommodation due to a documented medical or psychiatric disability, or have questions about housing accommodations, please review the Housing Accommodation Policy on the Disability Services website and submit your accommodation request online. The deadline for returning students to apply for Disability Housing Accommodations for Fall 2021 housing is June 15, 2021.
- Fall Move-in
-
All returning juniors and seniors are permitted to arrive on campus as early as Saturday, August 28, 10:00am PST. REHS is unable to honor any early housing requests, so you will need to seek alternative housing accommodations should you have a need to arrive in the area earlier than August 28. If you are involved in a College program or Fall sport that requires an early arrival, please contact that department or office directly for information about your arrival.
If you have any questions about logging on to eRezlife, or you are having difficulty with your Oxy login credentials, please contact ITS at helpdesk@oxy.edu or by calling (323) 259-2880 during College business hours.
If you have any additional questions, please contact the Office of Residential Education and Housing Services at resed@oxy.edu or (323) 259-2531. Please note that REHS is working with many students and families during the months of June and July, and we will provide a response back to your questions as soon as we are able.
We are looking forward to welcoming you into our residence halls and onto campus this August!
