The renovated space in lower Booth Hall, completed in November 2020, will give music majors and faculty access to a state-of-the-art facility that will take their artistry to the next level.
Located in lower Booth Hall, the space includes a recording studio, a control room and a 16-student music computer lab, and will be the new venue for our music production, film scoring, audio engineering and songwriting courses. These facilities will be outfitted with all necessary equipment and technology for students to gain the digital fluency needed for modern careers in creative industries.
The space was designed by renowned architect Peter Grueneisen of nonzero\architecture, who has worked with clients such as Hans Zimmer and DreamWorks. We look forward to welcoming prospective new music majors to the Choi Family Music Production Center!
We are grateful to the Choi Family for their generous support of this important effort.
