Oxy is home to three incredible, student-run A Cappella groups: The Accidentals, Cadence, and Bengalshop.

The Accidentals, Occidental College’s treble a cappella group, Cadence, Oxy's lower-voice a cappella group, and Bengalshop, our Barbershop Octet, are a sensational and rambunctious blend of vocal personality, united by a passion for and commitment to the spirit of the music. In addition to their extensive vocal range, these singers possess a wide range of academic interests and extracurricular activities. Born of the Occidental Glee Club and College Chorus, Cadence, Accis, and Bengalshop share a love of choral music, but also bring musical diversity to their repertoire with a more contemporary, popular set. The groups perform at annual Glee Club concerts as well as at various events on campus and in the community. Interested in joining one of these groups? You can find more information at the bottom of the page.
