Residential Education & Housing Services

Welcome home! Learn about where you'll be living and learning.

The first three years spent living on campus are an important part of the Oxy experience. This summer, Residential Education and Housing Services staff will work hard to match you with your roommate(s) within your residence hall community. To help facilitate this process, you'll be asked to complete a housing application after June 1.

Housing assignments will be available in August. Once you receive your housing assignment, we encourage you to get in touch with your roommate(s) to get to know each other and discuss the what-to-bring list.

Please note that students participating in international student orientation, L.A. Engage, or fall athletic teams will have earlier move-in dates. More information about move-in day logistics will be available later this spring.

Note: All beds are twin extra long, 38 x 80 inches, so plan accordingly when buying linens. The College does not provide linen or laundry service. Laundry facilities are available in each residence hall and use campus ID card funds for payment.

The third-party vendor, On Campus Marketing (OCM), offers special pricing for Oxy students on linens and other residence hall supplies.

Housing Application

Starting on June 1, you will be asked to complete your housing application using our housing software eRezlife. eRezlife allows you to complete your housing application, establish roommate groups and review resources & bulletins that are full of information. Please see the infographic for step by step instructions on how to complete your housing application, and be sure to complete it by July 2

The five simple steps illustrated include:
Step 1: Log in to, by using your Oxy credentials (the same login used for your myOxy account). When logging in, you will use the tool bar on the left side of the screen under the header Housing to complete all of the steps.
Step 2: Select My Housing Profile and confirm that all of your information is correct and press SAVE. Go back to the toolbar and select Housing Overview and click Apply Now to access the 2019-2020 application.
Step 3: Complete the 2019-2020 housing application. You must submit the application by July 2.
Step 4: Please read the terms & conditions file on the confirmation page of the housing application. This is where you will review your Housing License Agreement. Don't forget to click Submit.
Step 5: If you have a preferred roommate, go back to the toolbar and select Roommate Groups. Create a great group name. You must put in your desired roommate(s) Oxy email address. Members of the roommate group will receive an email ask for their acceptance; members must confirm their placement in the group.
Please note: Roommates and room type (i.e, Doubles and/or Triples) are not guaranteed based off of your roommate groups. Though we try to honor all requests, students will be placed in what is available at the time of housing placements.  For example, a roommate group of two people does not guarantee a double room; you may have a third person added to form a triple.
