Multicultural Visit Programs

For more than 20 years, Occidental has hosted fall and spring multicultural fly-in programs for seniors.

These programs introduce traditionally underrepresented, first-generation, and/or low-income students to Oxy's academic and residential community. The College covers travel expenses to bring students to campus. During their visit to Oxy, students have the opportunity to attend classes, meet with current students, spend the night in a residence hall and witness firsthand what makes Oxy unique.

Fall MVP

This year’s program will take place from Thursday, November 7 through Saturday, November 9. As in years past, we expect interest in our fall Multicultural Visit Program (MVP) will far exceed our capacity. Students who submit an MVP application before September 13 will be considered in our priority review process. The final deadline is October 1. Students will be notified in early October if they have been selected for the program.

We encourage all MVP applicants interested in Oxy to explore our website and social media accounts to learn more about the College.

While I was at the college, I fell in love with the community and felt right at home. I ended up submitting [my application] Early Decision right after coming back from the MVP."
