International & Exchange Student Orientation

FALL 2025 SCHEDULE  

International Student Orientation (ISO) LAUNCH!

August 14 - 18, 2025

New International students:  

  • Plan to arrive at Oxy on August 14 (between 10 am and 4 pm) . . . ready to LAUNCH!
  • August 15 - 18: Meet IPO staff, student leaders, and your fellow global tigers! We will have formal sessions, social time, neighborhood exploration, and practical tasks to accomplish. And, oh yeah, get over jet lag!
  • August 18 – New Student Orientation begins: Participants transition into mandatory new student orientation  based on their cohort. There are different specialized sessions for each group (i.e. first-years, exchange, etc.)

ISO programming is not relevant to students who went to high school in the U.S. or Canada, or who have 2 or more years of experience with U.S. culture.  If you do not participate in ISO, plan to arrive at Oxy on August 18, along with all other new students.

The International Program Office will contact students in May 2025 with ISO registration information.  REGISTRATION REQUIRED.  BY INVITATION ONLY.
