Jay Daigle is interested in number theory and arithmetic geometry.

He studies special values of L-functions and the equivariant Tamagawa number conjecure, a deep statement relating to both the Riemann Zeta function and the Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture on elliptic curves. He has recently also become interested in using supercharacter theory to study number theoretic identities.
